The challenge of a full wardrobe and nothing to wear is a tough one. This often happens when we don’t shop well.

Here are five proven tips from Le SLAP co-founder Vaida Vaiciuliene on how to shop cleverly.

Shopping Budget:

Having a shopping budget is a must. How much you monthly spend on shopping averagely should be managed. Some apps automatically transfer your credit or debit card spending.

Shopping List:

Make a shopping list before going shopping to prioritize the must-haves to least important things. In this way you will spend money according to budget and money will be saved on those items which you will not need currently.

Don’t go shopping without the list:

However, this is the troubled area if you randomly start scrolling for online shopping or physically stroll in the market you may end up buying things you don’t need.

Calculate how many times you’ll wear the thing:

Supposedly you are spending £100 on a dress. The dress can be more expensive than a £300 one calculate a 1-time-wear price. This can be done by dividing the total dress cost by the times you wear it. If the dress costs £100 and you only wear it once, the 1-time-wear price is £100. Yet, for the dress which costs £300 and you wear it 30 times, the 1-time-wear price is just £10.

Never shop when feeling down:

Try to postpone shopping if for some reason you are disturbed or feeling down. This may end your shopping emotionally and you will end up buying unnecessary stuff. For some people, shopping is a mood changer they take it as a remedy to boost the mood but when you feel low your mind work irrationally, the decisions would never result in positive ways so shop when you are happy and thinking straight.
