Ariarne Titmus has claimed the second gold medal in women’s freestyle in Olympics Tokyo.

Australia’s Titmus has won against the American Katie Ledecky in the games. Titmus, who beat Ledecky in the 400m freestyle final on Monday, touched home in one minute 53.50 seconds. Ledecky already had 5 medals. However, she lost the sixth one to Ariarne. She cruised to a dominant victory in the 1500m freestyle, her favored event.

It is the first time she finished outside the top-two positions in her Olympic career. She and Titmus could meet again in the 800m freestyle, with heats taking place on Thursday. Siobhan Haughey of Hong Kong won silver, with Canadian Penny Oleksiak taking bronze.
