Beijing reported the first coronavirus case in 179 days.

The Delta variant has taken over the world and the cases are being reported in the populous Eastern city of Nanjing. China recorded 49 new cases on Wednesday, including 24 local infections from three additional provinces, according to the National Health Commission (NHC), taking the total number of cases associated with the new cluster to at least 175.

86 cases were recorded in a single day, which marks the highest rate since January. The virus is spreading at an alarming rate. However, daily life activities have been resumed amid the increase in COVID cases.

The coronavirus was first detected in the central Chinese city of Wuhan in late 2019, rapidly spreading across China and the world. Since 2019, COVID is causing human and economic damage to the world.  The outbreak has urged the world’s administrations to impose curfew and lockdowns on everything.

China became the first country to report the first COVID case. Moreover, it also got control over the pandemic soon.
