It was a major blow to Biden’s change of policy in immigration laws. His earlier reforms, however, faced huge criticism from republican opponents.
The reforms were unveiled last month soon after the inauguration ceremony of the Biden administration. The step was to reverse or in other words rectify the mistakes of the former Trump administration. The new immigration reforms were not liked by many across the country. As per the DHS information, the new policy ignored people posing threat to the national security of the country. Therefore, as soon as the declaration was out, Texas files a lawsuit challenging the reforms.
Further improvement that took place was the interim enforcement memo issued by the IC agent. The memo provided to impose stricter checks on the new immigration and deportation policies. The provision was already the part of the law, to gain approval of the senior officer remained there. However, the fear is still lingering on as new liberal policies might increase the rate of trans-border crimes.
