Northern Ireland is facing violence for the sixth consecutive day as British and Irish leaders call for peace.

Tensions rose out after rising tensions relating to Brexit. Violence erupted as police officers refused to prosecute leaders of the Irish nationalist party. Police are now utilizing the use of force on the protestors. A bus was set on fire on Lanark Way near the junction with Shankill Road, police said. Photos and video from the scene showed youths on both sides of the gate throwing projectiles across, including petrol bombs.

Tension is rising as the protestors refused to take end the protests. The only solution left is to take effective measures on both sides of the government. British President John is also concerned about the happening in the country.

The unionist parliamentarians of the Loyal Communities Council LCC said to withdraw from the agreement. The move came in after the stubborn statements of prosecutors. The LCC said opposition would be peaceful, the letter said the groups would not rejoin “until our rights under the Agreement are restored and the (Brexit) protocol amended to ensure unfettered access for goods, services, and citizens throughout the United Kingdom.” David Campbell said that the situation is getting out of control and it might need serious strategies to get in control.

Writing on Twitter late Wednesday, Mary Lou McDonald, an Irish lawmaker and leader of Sinn Fein, said: “a united voice for a halt to all violence and the restoration of calm is the only acceptable stance from all political leaders. The attacks and intimidation must end.”
